These poems find themselves mainly in the struggles of youth and children as they come to terms with a world that defies their expectations and continually inhibits its own potential to be something more than what they find. These are emotions which profoundly effect our cognitive development, and which seem to present us with options that, in our responses to them, actualize the world as we anticipate it to be, re-routing tomorrow through the increasingly limited prospects we think are available today.
