AbstractThese poems find themselves mainly in the struggles of youth and children as they come to terms with a world that defies their expectations and continually inhibits its own potential to be something more than what they find. These are emotions which profoundly effect our cognitive development, and which seem to present us with options that, in our responses to them, actualize the world as we anticipate it to be, re-routing tomorrow through the increasingly limited prospects we think are available today.
Authors submitting a paper to the Journal of Creative Inquiry automatically agree to confer a limited license to the Journal of Creative Inquiry if and when the manuscript is accepted for publication. This license allows the Journal of Creative Inquiry to publish a manuscript in a given issue. Authors have a choice of:

Authors submitting a paper to the Journal of Creative Inquiry do so in the understanding that Internet publishing is both an opportunity and challenge. In this environment, authors and publishers do not always have the means to protect against unauthorized copying or editing of copyright–protected works.
