Synthesis and characterization of 2-acetyl-6-methoxypyridine (AMOPY) thiosemicarbazone ligands for drug design

Abstract

Thiosemicarbazone ligands have exhibited anti-cancer properties throughout the literature. Synthesis of five derivatives on the AMOPY scaffold will be done via condensation reactions in this work. Classification of the products by NMR will validate the identities of the ligands for further use.
